Multiple codes

Hello,

My Wife was driving my 2011 E350 and the engine light came on. I used my BlueDriver Scanner and gave the following codes:

P0037
P0458
P0057
P0448
P0031
P041F

Please help!!!

The codes can easily be found on Google. I looked up a few. O2 sensor problems, emission purge valve, etc, Any error code that involves a sensor can also be the circuitry to or from the sensor and connectors along the way. . Are YOU going to fix it, or take it to someone??

Thanks for the reply. Can I drive to get checked out or have it towed?

If the check engine light is on steady, it is safe to drive it. If the light is flashing, then it really shouldn't be driven as it's a serious issue.

General rule, start with the lowest numbered codes and investigate there first.

P0037 - Heating of component G3/6 (Right O2 sensor, after TWC KAT : Short circuit to ground (P0037) - Possible cause: G3/6 (Right O2 sensor, after TWC [KAT])
P0458- Y58/1 Purge control valve : Short circuit to ground / Switchover valve permanently open (P0458) - Possible cause: Y58/1 (Purge control valve)
P0057- Heating of component G3/5 Left O2 sensor, after TWC KAT : Short circuit to ground (P0057) - Possible cause: G3/5 (Left O2 sensor, after TWC [KAT])
P0448- Component Y58/4 Activated charcoal canister shut-off valve has a short circuit to ground. (P0448) - Possible cause: Y58/4 (Activated charcoal canister shut-off valve)
P0031- Heating of component G3/4 Right O2 sensor, before TWC KAT : Short circuit to ground (P0031) - Possible cause: G3/4 (Right O2 sensor, before TWC [KAT])
P041F - Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve 'A' Circuit Low

All those codes seem to have a short to ground problem so they might be all on the same circuit and be related.

If it's not far, it's probably ok to drive. I wouldn't drive it too long, with O2 not functioning property, you run the risk of frying the catalytic converters which are pretty expensive. As others said, probably a wiring problem.
