Check engine light
Just picked up my car today from the dealer because the check engine light had come on. Didn't have a chance to look at what they did until I got home. The receipt says "33957 LI07.08-P-060993 Battery Charger, performed short EST U145400. Implausible data were received from the ethanol sensor, NEC to program engine control unit."
Can anyone put this into plain English as to what they did???

Thanks for the info, but what does it mean? What was wrong? What should I notice a difference in? I didn’t notice anything wrong before the check engine light went on. What did the software update do to improve anything? Had I not taken it in to get it repaired, what’s the worst that would have happened?

Your computer was updated to fix a logic error caused by a signal from the ethanol %-age system that the computer didn't understand. The ecu needs to know what percent of ethanol is in your fuel so that it will command the proper amount of fuel sent to the engine. The result that that you MAY notice a little better running engine and a little different mileage.

Most of the CEL warnings are related to emissions, air intake, exhaust sensors, fuel mapping, thermostats, etc and should not be ignored. If you lived in my area you would not be able to register your car with an active CEL that flunks an emissions test.
