2016 E350 4matic
Just wanted to introduce myself

Hi,
Long time reader, first time poster.
I have just picked up a CPO 2016 E350 4matic with Sport, Lighting, Keyless-Go, Blind spot assist, Sport steering wheel, Line recognition, and few other options and only 19K miles on the clock.
Here is a pic of the car before the delivery.

Stepped it up from driving 2006 VW TDI for 11 1/2 years.
The MB E-class is whole different universe.
Looking forward for many miles ahead.

Max

Congrats! That’s a very nice car!

As a diesel driver, I would be curious to hear what made you decide to go with the E350 (not E250) after driving a Diesel car for so many years?

It was a tough call.
The main reason is that I do not drive enough to get the full benefit of the diesel. The TDI that I have sold had only 106K after 11 1/2 years. I do miss the torque and the sound of it already.
The second is that newer diesels have quite a bit more complex exhaust treatment system and EGR setup. I know the MB diesels have been bullet proof, but this one is still too new by my book to make a call.
And the third one is that finding one with options that I wanted is really tough.
So it will be a gasser for me at least for now.

Thanks for sharing your logic! I know first hand how hard it is to find a Diesel with the right options. I found mine 2,000+ miles away from home... it was a fun drive home though. BUT, you can’t go wrong with the gas engine and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the one you got for years to come. I always get a smile on my face when I drive mine.

Thank you,

I did find a least one thing that this car does not have. The sun glass holder? I am so used to keeping my glasses there, that I have tapped the panel there to open the storage compartment without much luck
Now I need to change my habit where I keep it.

I use the lined compartment under the seat for sunglasses and other stuff. A lot of people forget those are even there. Easy to get to

That is what I ended using. I guess that I just not used to it yet.
