So, after longer journeys, where the engine bay reaches its normal working temperatures, the star emblem stays same shape, no signs of it starting melting of changing shape. Happy.
The material i picked when ordering the 3d print service was Generic Standard ABS (plastic material).

ABS is stronger and less suseptible to heat than PLA. Try to avoid PLA filament.

Clap, clap, clap, clap... (sounds of 300 feet running to the garage to check)

If you 3D print one, be sure to use something that can withstand the heat (not PLA like akingzkid found out)

Melted emblem

My GLA200, it seems I revved up the engine too hard. I had accidentally shifted the minus of the gear clutch on the left side of the steering wheel thinking it was the speed limit change, while running at about 80km/hr on the highway. The clutch went from speed 6 to speed 2 all of a sudden. I wasn’t able to quickly react to it and had to stop at the road side. (Silly me, I later figured out the plus is on the right side of the steering wheel!)

Some burnt smell (plastic) emitted from the inside, and the generated heat had caused the emblem to melt away. There is a need to replace the emblem as it is warning about something that might have caused this excellent piece of artwork to melt away like a fudge cake! Anyone fretting about getting a replacement of clutch? I am worried I will have to soon!

Plastic oozing out of the emblem from the inside.
