Reverse camera installation issue on 2010 E250 CGI
Hi all,
I'm trying to install an aftermarket reverse camera on my 2010 E250 CGI
This one:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Rear-View-Backup-Camera-For-Mercedes-
Benz-E-Class-W212-2009-2012-Original/272437579299?ssPageName=STR
K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
For power supply to camera, I have tapped the positive wire into of the positive reverse light wire and the negative wire is connected to negative point on car's body.
Now I get a warning on the dashboard telling me that there is a problem with my reverse light. There is no problem with it. It works fine. Maybe the error is due to drop
of voltage due to camera wire tap?
My questions please:
What would be the best way of connecting this camera to power source please? Maybe to reverse light fuse (IF there is one - I cannot find it)?
What are those two little red wires for (marked in green)? I have not connected them at all. Maybe that's why the camera is not working for me.
Many Thanks
Milo
