If the W212 had been 4Matic only, I'd have bought another car altogether. I don't need it in my climate and hate the way it dulls the car. It has to do with the default 45/55 split thing. I had an AWD Infiniti but it was RWD until slip was detected. Had an AWD Porsche as well but it was default 80% rear bias, and would send 100% to the rear in certain situations. I didn't mind it at all in those cars. But in a 4Matic Benz it just really saps the pleasure out of driving for me.
