I don't recall seeing anyone retrofit distronics to a W212, but it's been done with a W211. Not sure if it's the same type of install though. I don't think the parts were that bad or was that complicated on a W211, might be different on a W212 though. In general though, it usually doesn't make sense to retrofit any option on a Mercedes, you're usually better off finding a car that has that option, but it was somewhat rare so it might take a while for a car like that to pop up. I've been trying to find one with the driver's assistance package, lighting/P2 package, pano, parktronic and real leather. Only saw a couple of them in the last few years, that combo is hard to find even in an E550. Usually they're missing at least one or two other options.

The other thing is the parts for the project would have. cost around $7500 and then add his time and fees to it.
So I traded my E350 to a low mileage 2010 E550, which has the driver’s assistance package that includes blind spot and line keep monitoring as well. It also came with real leather interior and airmatic and, of course, that awesome 100 hp stronger engine.
I paid $9000 between the cars and have not regretted one second for doing this.
