What tires? Some of them have 20,000 miles life expectancy?
I put only few thousands miles on our 212, who I bought with 160k miles, but the control arm bushing was already shot and I have new one waiting for replacement.
A bit disappointing on 4 years old MB, when I had previous models with 20-30 years/300k miles still on original bushings.

That is odd. I also have the bluetec. However, due to the prodigious torque going to the rear (rear drive), my rear tires get even worn out FAST. Unless I rotate every 10K judiciously, they are close to bald in 20K miles. Front tires have seen almost no wear.

My experience also
but with staggered tires, I can't rotate. Front tires are still OEM at 50K and I am about to replace the rears for the third time. Had alignment done and it is fine. Does not seem to matter what brand tire I use, the rears are lucky to go 20K.

Maybe adjusting your driving habit is the key?
Those engines do have humongous low-end torque.
The freeway on ramp from our house is slopped wrong way. Not much, but each time I enter it, I have traction light coming.
I keep transmission on C mode, don't push more than 1/2 throttle, good tires, dry pavement and still wheel spinning.
