2010 E350 4Matic
Fun Moment
Going out of town tomorrow and took advantage of my dealers courtesy car wash at lunchtime. So I kicked around while it was being washed and browsed at e350 coupe and W222 S550 that they had just bought at auction. I inquired about cost of a seat cover replacement and then stood around waiting for them to bring my car back. I looked over (and keep in mind my car is 2010 approaching 9 years old with 117K miles) and it was sitting outside of the door. It looked like a brand new car and looked great. I kept looking at it to make sure it was mine. Another customer was also staring at it and said that it looked great. made me happy. These are wonderful cars.

It is not only good quality brand, but owners are taking good care about them.
My 10 years old MB still go with "new" comments, when W124 bought with 25 years was taken for 5-8 years old.
That said I have seen couple of beaten up MB and this is sad view.
When I will "stand on my head" to protect paint from UV I do see cars park on the sun becouse owners keep $500 worth of crap in the garage.

lol... this is soooo the norm out here in ca... #smh - most likely bc leasing is so popular out here - not long-term ownership... i like you do all i can to preserve, protect and defend my vehicle paint.

Its always heartening to see efforts of keeping the car nice rewarded. I've had the dealer tech come out to tell me it's one of the nicest (and cleanest to work on lol) he's seen when I had some warranty work done.
Not trying to sound braggy, it's just a good feeling to see the "older" car holding its own next to newer versions. I also continue to like this style very much over time.
