Are there any issue I need to know about before purchasing this car. This will be my first Mercedes. The one I'm looking at got a 111,000 miles on it.

 

Have the car inspected by a good independent MB shop, not just any mechanic. Things to check for would be noisy lifters on cold startup, seat heater not working, other electrical gremlins. If it is 4matic, that may have its own issues as well.

 

^^this plus look at engine/transmission mounts and the past maintenance history.

 

Bushings
ball joints
oil leaks obviously
oil cooler seal
tranny and engine mounts
seat heaters

 

Faded wood, thermostat, pulley's/tensioner/belt..

Ditto the above about getting a pre-purchase inspection. An MB shop can scan the car for MB specific codes that don't trigger a check engine light.

 

Is it from a dealer? If it is ask them to do the software update to make Bluetooth streaming to work. It also improves the NAVI.
