New MB owner intro

Hey all, after being a long time VAG guy I finally had enough with our previous car. Went to the MB dealership and picked up a CPO 2016 E350 4Matic with Sport/Lighting/Sound packages. So far We love the car (it’s my wife’s). Zero complaints. Eventually I may swap for a more aggressive wheel set-up, likely stay with 18’s with a meaty-flush tire/ET. For now we’re just going to enjoy the car.

We added factory roof bars right away, roof box coming soon. Tint will be coming as well (ceramic for sure). After I finish building my Land Cruiser I may look to install the AMG ceramic brakes as well.

Cheers, thanks for viewing.

the car has 18’s now which I’ll likely keep with a bump in side wall and width. Likely HRE C109 or similar. Probably an 18x9.5. I prefer the control and feel of meaty rubber. ET will be set to make it flush and no adjustment in ride height.

Congratulations on a new ride.
I also came from VAG side and got nearly the same E350 as yours. Same year and options but mine is black-on-black.

nice, I love black cars, but will never own another after my B5S4. Too much work keeping it propper.

Off hand, what go fast parts are out there? My search is only showing stuff for w211 3.5 motor but nothing for 04+ 3.5 motors. I did find a tune from renntech, but the cost:gain was laughable.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Not many options to build that motor. The TTV8 has more power boost capabilities with the turbo setup. 100 HP tune gains are simple.

That’s kinda what I figured after a quick search. I really didn’t have intention of doing much to the car, but yesterday I was merging on the hwy and found my first complaint. At 70 I noticed the driver of an odeyssy decided to accelerate to obstruct my merge. I responded inturn. Two adults, two kids with a trunk full from costco and the car didn’t pull well in eco mode. Sure, I pulled on that damn van, but not as easily as I would have liked. I’ll just have to remeber to keep my finger on the e/s button and the other on the shift paddle in case I come across another jack ***.

C109, nice choice! It's not a very common one by customers so you'll likely be the first ever to do it on an E-Class. What color combination would you go with for the center face and outer lip?

Fitting the center cap may be a little tricky to do but I think it may be possible with some customization done on your end. Give me a shout if you'd like to discuss various fitments and finish combos on the wheels so we can get everything perfect for you - David@WheelsBoutique.com
