ECU Tuning
Pressertech Tuning from Atlanta is offering huge horse power increase by remapping ECU. Curious if there's any reported drawbacks from folks that have had this done. I have 2012 E550 and considering have the stage 2 completed.

Never heard of them. There are several tuners who can get 100 HP + out of this engine. Some ECU’s have been fried so be wary of that. Watch the torque gains on the trans, which can stress it. I haven’t heard of any engines grenading with these tunes. Read up around here for others who have ECU tunes.

735 ft-lbs I believe is the high torque rating. Higher in the AMG trans, obviously.

OETuning tune for 3+ years, 30,000 miles, on my 2012 sedan with no issues. Power is great and my car runs the same times and mph at the track as the guys with the Renntech Tune.

I had a good time on another mfg vehicle. My primary decision point was not so much the power gains but the aftersale support. Always a good idea to check references in addition to online reviews.
