Has anyone done a navigation map update using disks purchased on eBay?
If so, did it work?

I successfully updated the COMAND 4.5 in my 2013 E350 Coupe with an update from an ebay seller. Details are in this MBWorld thread

The MB COMAND GPS update also requires a unique ID code keyed to your VIN ID. This is NOT mentioned in this ebay listing

 

That happened in a later version of Comand. The earlier version that was in the 2010-2011 models didn't need a pin code. You could actually just install the navigation and then you didn't need the DVD anymore so you could just sell it again after installing it. That stopped in 2012+ when they required a pin code.
