Cost of "A" Service

I think someone asked this, but I cannot locate the thread.
Just had my car serviced and the "A" service was $257 with $25 off = $238. This included a tire rotation and hand wash. Since I also had them do a check for an electrical situation, I also got a loaner for four hours. In the past I have always gotten a loaner even for a straight "A" service.

I have had free service on my current car, but that price sounds about right. My dealership goes above and beyond in regards to a loaner. They are almost an hour away and will send 'drive service' to pick up my car and leave me a loaner regardless of the services requested.
The Luxury must not have staggered tires like the Sport- Must be nice to rotate tires.

My service A was under $200. I use a local Mercedes repair shop. It is a oil change and a bunch of checks.

Well you could have had them do a few extra things like maybe more air/cabin filters and wipers and maybe it would have been over $300 and you could have used the $150 off $300 coupon mentioned in another thread.

I just had A service which was $215 at my local dealer. He added windshield wiper replacement which put me at $301. I paid $151 after the $150 coupon

Wow, $86 for a pair for wipers installed. Even half price is $43.

And to think I get mine for around $2.21 or about $4.42 for the pair. But shipping is up there.

I didn't care as long as it put the service cost at $300 that I could use the coupon.

The wipers are about the easiest thing to replace on my car. I can get a set of Bosch at Advanced for about $30? and do it myself. Or I can watch while the salesperson does it. Either way, about five minutes.

I realize that and I would never do it otherwise. But spending $86 I saved $150

You can add parts only to the RO and still get the $150 off, but I believe you must have at least one service item (like A service) and not 100% parts counter stuff.
