S212 350cdi extra connector?

Hello

I did the oil cooler seals and found this connector. It was not connected and i was wondering where it should go or is it some kinda extra option. It was just hanging under the thermostat housing. Picture is taken before the seals are renewed.

WIth maze of wires it is hard to tell, but looks like plug for fuel water sensor. or MAF
Here is picture of mine for comparison.

Fuel filter connector has more wires and MAF too. Everything is connected and works. The plug has 1 grey wire and 1 brown wire.
