LED low beam replacement (color)

Hey all! Total newbie here. Was hoping someone could answer a question, since my local MB parts guy couldn’t point me in the right direction. Anyways, I have 2014 E350 sedan sport. It comes with OEM LED lights for the low beams, H7 halogen for high beam. I was wondering if it’s possible to swap out the LED low beams for a different color? The OEM color is super white, almost bluish. It’s been raining here lately and this color temp (looks like 6000k) does not light up the wet road well. Is a LED swap for a 5000k or 4300k color temp possible?

I asked the parts guy, and when he looked up my car, he said both low and high beams use H7 halogens. He can’t be right, I can literally see the LED/SMD diode inside the headlight assembly. The diode faces sideways towards the center of the car and a reflector is at a right angle, reflecting the light forward.

Your facelift 2014 should have LEDs (only) for low beam, and H7 Halogen for highs. You would be the first to suggest changing the low beams which I think are beyond excellent. I have changed the Highs to better match color with the lows. (Phillips Diamond Vision H7s)

Thanks DFWdude for your input. I do have the standard (reflector) LED low beams. They put out a nice color, but not as bright as other OEM HID-equipped cars I’ve seen for myself. Also, the LEDs don’t have that nice cutoff you’d see in projectors, but that’s just personal taste.

i asked another dealership about replacement LED bulbs in the future, he said my car uses HID bulbs?! I think I have to physically show these guys my car.

Anyways, if I were to replace my H7 high beams, I’d go with Philips X-treme Vision for their increased brightness and downfield reach. I don’t care too much about matching the low beam color, would rather have more usable, eye-friendly light downroad.

MB makes whole variety of lights in those models. We have two of 2014 models and 1 is having xenons with halogen high beams, the other has LED where the beam is changed by mowing gates and you can clearly see the beam mowing when switching.
so I wonder if OP has in fact xenon lights like dealers are checking.
The main difference between xenon and LED is that when xenon gives crispy, beam with sharp edges, LED at the edges is having some distortion.

Have you verified that headlight adjustment is ok?
