Dashcam Fuse
I have searched but couldnt find what i was looking for.
I have an E220 saloon 2015 .... i was going to wire up my Blackvue dashcam and use the Blackvue battery for back up.
I was hoping to place the battery back up in the glovebox and use a frendly switched fuse to charge the battery which runs the camera when the car is parked etc .
Is there a fuse box near by the glovebox ? And any help as to which fuse is switched .
Blackvue want £200 just to connect it up .... I've already mounted the cameras and ran the wires ... just need to hook it up to the car.
£200 seems a bit steep for probly 10 minutes work .
TIA

I have more than 1 battery packs though if needed.
Regarding battery pack, make sure you get the ones that have 'Passive charging' feature. So, you can use it while you charge it.
I believe a good capacity battery pack is cheaper than that 200bucks labor or the wiring cost itself.

I didn't use battery backup and directly wired my dashcam to the cigarette lighter fuse in the trunk (fuse #71).
Good luck with the install!
