Awful wind noise

2012 E550. 65k miles. No wrecks. I don’t see anything out of place under hood as far as weather stripping. It’s almost like it’s under the dash. Makes the sound above 80mph or when I’m rolling in to a head wind so it’s defintely air related. I’m stumped. Any ideas?

Noise emanating from the front grill area at speed is a known issue.

Did you listen to the attachment? That sounds terrible. Sounds like someone put kazoos under the hood.

That would drive me crazy. I'm be screwing, nailing, epoxying, gluing down EVERYthing until that stopped.

i know it. Today didn’t start until 95ish. The center of the grill moves around a bit and with the hood up i can pull it outwards an inch or more. I’m going to try tape around the grill. It doesn’t sound like any grill videos I’ve heard but it’s defintely wind blowing over or through an area so i need to start eliminating spots. Was just hoping someone had the experience before.

Since forums are usually littered with dead end threads i thought I’d come back and report the issue. It was the front of my sunroof.
