‘12 E550 Tune

2007 Audi A4 2012 E550
‘12 E550 Tune
So I ordered the eurocharged hand held tune for my ‘12 E550. Inalso have the new NGk plugs as well. Should I replace the ignition coils at the same time? Car has 100k on it. Not sure they’ve been changed before. Also what brand do you go with?
I had an Audi A4 that burned coils like ever 6 months it seemed.

I would do the coils too at this point. I assume you do then yourself. They are about $60 each. See below link from FCP Euro, they have the Beru brand:

no need to replace the coils unless they are bad...you have any misfires or history of issues? if not, put them back on and enjoy your new tune! I know I do!!!
I just changed my plugs 2 days ago and reused the coils and wires with no issues.

Why would you replace coil packs that are working?
Maybe put some $$ towards scantool and other tools that will show actual data. Good for the long run on your MB and other vehicles too.

I would actually, change coil. The new coil made difference on my car. My car was having rough idling before change to this coil.

And i think this one is newer than my original coil.
Spark Plug i went with NGK 97056 (Same specs as stock plugs, except it is 2 step colder heat range)
You might not need this unless you are heavily tuned.

It will save you tons of money by knowing error codes.

I get what you guys are saying about PM or replacement of a failing part.
100k miles is not the end of a coil pack.
But other than "feels" better, for the more expensive parts it's really a waste of money.
I'm just going on about this thinking that for the $500 you could get decent scantool and additional diagnostic tools so you're not guessing about things.
But I've been guilty of good part swapping in the past and it's not my dollar here
Just an opinion.
