You can buy two 5qt jugs and get 24$ in rebate back . I picked up two jugs few days ago for my 05 CDI and it brought down the price to exactly 1/2 price after the rebate comes in.

One of the participating stores I K-Mart. A box of 6 quarts of 0W-40 oil costs $57.31.They do not show this oil in 5 quart jugs but from the 6 quart pricing for 5 quarts would be $47.76.

Closest 5 quart jug is oil 5W-30 for $41.66.

$47.76 - $17.00 = 30.76.

$41.66 - $17.00 = $24.66

You can buy 0W-40 oil in 5 quart jugs at Walmart for $22.88 any day. No rebate hassles for that.

Walmart might not be on the approved retailer but Mobil still issues rebates for me everytime.

Me too. I bought two jugs from Walmart the last time this deal was on (Oct 2018). It took several weeks, but I received the rebate, even though Walmart is not on the approved list.

If you get $17 off of the $22.88 price it is a steal.

The $17 rebate applies if you buy an oil filter, too. The filter rebate applies to all cars with can filters, mostly. But I'm not aware of any filter cartridges for an MB costing as little as $5. The $12 (oil only) rebate on a $22 jug is plenty, IMO.

Also this year there's a limit of 4 so you can keep buying. Walmart is also clearancing out some of their Mobil 1 filters, but unfortunately for us, not the one we need, still $14 for ours. So with an extra $5 back, it's $9 for a Mobil 1 filter. Not a bad price, but the Mann filter is around $7 plus shipping on rockauto so it's not like it's a great price.
