Refinished my E550 wheels
So the wheels on my E550 had lots of curb rash. They had a machined face and were painted silver everywhere else. It took them to have them refinished and decided to have the painted area a darker grey (Powder coated with "Cadillac Grey" from Prismatic Powder). I think they turned out really well, and are an improvement.
While they were getting refinished I put a spare set of E63 wheels/tires on which worked fine. The fronts were nearly flush with the fender, and really filled in the wheel well nicely. These looked so good.
Here are some pics.

Those look fantastic!
I had done similar a few years ago - I liked the stock rims but not the color. I had them all checked/straightened/powdercoated with something call Hyper Chrome, sort of a black chrome. About the same price too. Also changed out to the black version centercaps.
IMO refinishing is a great way to improve appearance without breaking the bank.

Looks good and with straightening included the price is great.
My local repair shop starting repairs quotes at $150.
Those Czech-made wheels seem to have lot of troubles.

The refinished wheels turned out very well indeed.
The Cadillac Grey paint is a nice alteration, too.

Looks great! sort of like the 2014 wheels with the gray insert, but a bit darker. I would love to do this if I could find somewhere capable. I've been searching for a set of 2014 550 wheels in a square setup for a while, but I don't want to pay 2 grand for bare wheels. I'm assuming they did the diamond cut process on the face. I wouldn't even know where to look for a shop that could do this work.
