I got a wagon bug lately and decided to look at some local inventory here. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing

Here is the question. According to the manual the wagon is about 1.8 inches taller than the sedan? Where is that from? Do I have more headroom? Is the chassis actually taller? Or does it sit 1.8 inches higher than the sedan? I can't tell? Where does the additional 1.8 inch from from???

The MB brochure says there is greater overall wagon height because roof rails are included in the measurement. The MB brochure also says that there is greater 2nd row headroom in the wagon than a sedan (39.8" vs.38.2"). There is more rear headroom in a wagon because the roof does not slope downwards over the 2nd row as it does on a sedan. Specs on page 24 of this MB brochure: 2016 E-Class Sedan/Wagon Brochure

There's more headroom if you open the sunroof haha.

I would hold out for a wagon with leather and the Premium 2 or better yet the Premium 3 package. Even if you have to get an older or higher mileage wagon. I look at it this way, If your going to be making payments for a few years why not get a model with all the bells and whistles that helps remind you that you're in a Mercedes not just another Honda.

I don't know what Premium 3 pkg is but this thing has just about everything with pkg 2 plus Designo interior, Distronic Plus and Multicontour seats........ I think that is pretty much everything. I have the itch to buy....... but I gotta do some math with my current Lexus
