Code generates vehicle-specific service sheet in the WIS/MSS.

At the mechanic/dealer, the workshop code is input into a piece of Mercedes software and it then spits out a lists of "services" needed that the car has determined based on mileage and time intervals programmed into the car--basically that list of service 2, 3, 8 etc. What they mean: Service 2 is a "B" service, service 3 is an oil change, service 8 is an engine air filter, and service 12 is spark plugs.

I just googled "'service 20' mercedes" and got this: https://www.mercedes-benz.ca/content...197-BEdAEN.pdf

Scroll down to the part where it lists out the service numbers and what each indicates. Ignore the distance/year intervals, because it's different for each model. However the service numbers and what is indicated are the same across all recent Mercedes (I believe).
