E350 (a207) Sound problems while operating soft top
Hi Guys,
This is my first post and I am looking for a little advice or help. I purchased the car back in Jan 18 with no issues. In March 18 an uninsured driver decided to drive into the drivers rear quarter.
After 4 months the car was returned to me after been repaired by Mercedes, however since when I operate the roof the speakers all cut out very briefly. I know this is only a small issue but its annoying. I took the car back but they cannot find any fault codes and will not admit there is an issue even though they can here it.
My Dad has exactly the same car but when he operates the roof there is no loss of sound.
The problem seems to be when the rear deck lid is either raised or lowered when it clips down. but I cannot see any wires or anything that could be trapped.
If any one could please shed a bit of light or advice as to what could be causing this I would be very great full

If you have not already done so, take both vehicles in at the same time to have manager & shop foreman witness the difference. Shop should make an effort to compare assemblies to both vehicles to definitively diagnose problem.
