Best/reliable tune company?
Hey I was just thinking about tuning the 2014 E550. Was doing some research and this is what I’ve found so far.
Weistec: 540HP 715TQ ($1499.99) not sure how tune is done either shipping CPU or plug in like others now.
Eurocharged: 530HP 606TQ ($1599.99) comes with hardware
Renntech: 540HP 705TQ ($2480.00) also comes with its own plug in hardware.
Wanted to to see what people’s opinions were and if anyone with the tune has any valuable input on either listed companies.
Thanks!

I went with OE Tuning and I'm putting up lower than stock numbers. I don't know if it's an issue with the tune or the car, and unfortunately I don't know enough about the car to argue with them about it. I honestly want to go back to the stock ECU programming because, really, I didn't/don't need any performance improvement...

I know that Weistec and Renntech are reputable companies. There will be more people on the AMG forums that have actually used those companies to tune their cars and can provide feedback about them.

I have a Eurocharged tune on my E550, and it is fantastic. I went with them because they have a local shop really close to my house. No complaints so far, been tuned for a few months now. FYI: with just a tune and muffler delete, I ran 12.4 @ 114mph.

Why should I stop? The vehicle not even reach its factory speed limit and this mean they've had messed up my ECU then it might cause harm to other components. What if I did not have the runs then I would never find out that they did a lousy job? You should have see the way they respond to my email. They shown lack of professional level, careless. Positive and Negative feed backs are the nature of rating business and products. I see nothing wrong here.

2014 E550 4MATIC TUNED - Turbo Upgraded Stage 3
I went with OEtuning as well. Stage 1 was nice, but after loading the stage 2 and cat delete downpipes I don't feel much of a difference. They tried telling me that cat delete only adds 15-20hp and that I needed to do full turbo downpipes(with bridge pipes) for any real gains on their stage 2, which is quite different then what they said before buying the stage 2. They still have yet to confirm what the car should be putting down if not their advertised specs. Either way I'm gonna get the car on the dyno end of October when the hours at work slow down and hopefully get this resolved then.
My understanding, Stage 2 tune is for tuning out CEL that caused by Catless.
The gain is from downpiped catless.
It will not give you significant gain.
But if you are after power, every hp/tq counts.

Would have been nice if they had mentioned that prior. Either way 520-540hp and 700ish tq should punch you in the seat even at 4400lbs. I am after power, the kind that makes you giggle whenever you floor it lol... thought I was going the achieve that without pulling the motor.
