DVD slot mount phone holder in 2016 E350?
I just bought a 2016 E350 and I'm trying to use the CD/DVD slot mount magnetic phone holder I used in my previous vehicle. The problem is the volume knob is very close to the CD/DVD slot, and when I have my old kit installed in the CD/DVD slot, it presses against the volume knob to the point where the knob cannot be turned. I have even tried carving out some of the plastic on the bottom of the holder to see if I can get it away from the volume knob. No dice.
I assume someone has found one of these that mounts in the slot and doesn't press against the volume knob.
If so, can you please share which item you purchased?

i started using one of these cd slot phone holders i found on amazon a few months ago. mine practically resting on the volume knob. i never thought about using a dremel to remove some of the plastic on the phone holder. my volume knob can still be turned with the phone in.

I have a frend who uses one of those CD slot holders in his Japanese car. Looks practical, but on my E350, the DVD drive grabs any inserted disk close to the slot opening.
So every time I think about using a DVD phone mount, the little Mercedes-Benz angel siting on my shoulder says, "Nope, don't do that.... Really, I'm warning ya...
