Hmm. Dammit, I actually kind of like this. I can hear the car saying, "C'mon. Bring on the challengers."

You should try a downpipe with or without cats!

The only place more strict than here. Are you tuned? I've been keeping my eye on the Toronto marketplaces because finding parts here has been next to impossible, but I'm just glad the car has sound for once.

I'll do one better. I'll have shots below the car as well.

Google must be having issues because I cannot download a couple of the videos I took. Hopefully it will be resolved shortly, but here are some pics of the mufflers.

Mufflers installed and resonator replaced with straight pipes.

It really came down to what I read on the 63 forums and my preference of sound clips from YouTube. Short story was straight pipe is louder than X pipe and that is what I'm looking for because I still have the stock downpipes.

I see, you go with sound.
X or H pipe balances exhaust pulse for more smooth ride. And more efficient for the engine.

But, if you want loud. Straight pipe will be the best way.

have you notice any differences on power gain ? smoothness ?

Correct, may look into a H pipe if I do go catless. Car does seem to have more power; maybe due to less restrictions or it could all be in my head. Can't say I noticed a decrease in smoothness either. Overall I'm happy with it and will keep an eye out for some downpipes and will reevaluate from there.

Here's mine if you want a comparison video. Coco's exhaust system is a bit too loud for my taste lol

Don't like this one. The metallic noise when revving grates the **** out of my ears and my nerves.

The very first video is still my favorite of all the ones posted so far.

Pretty different sounding, are you catless or high flow cats. Definitely hear more turbo sounds which I like.

High flow cats, doesn't throw a CEL and practically no smell after the first few weeks.

Finally had a chance to wash the car. I had most of the chrome trim wrapped in gloss black vinyl a couple of months ago. Came out really well except for the door handles which I'll have to get redone eventually.
