extended warranty on 2014 E350
1. My current warranty expires December 31 2019. It was a bumper to bumper 0 deductible. Car may almost have 14,000 miles by then. I was thinking of another 6 or 7 year bumper to bumper 0 deductible. During the next 6 years I may put on another 7 or 8,000 miles if that. Is it really worth the cost of getting another extended warranty when the car will not have more than 21,000 miles by the end of the warranty?
2. If I do not take another warranty does anyone know of a local shop that can service the car for the oil changes rather than going to the dealer. I live in the northwest suburbs of Illinois. Thanks

I think you are crazy to purchase 2 more years of coverage on a car with so few miles. What could go wrong with so little use?

I just looked at your post again and you said 6-7 years of coverage, not 2. My bad. I cannot imagine what that would cost, and you would definitely need to go outside the Mercedes world to find a company that offers long term coverage.
Find a good independent mechanic to look over your car. I highly recommend Carmine Burdi at Burdi Motorworks in Schiller Park. I know this is a drive from the NW suburbs, but not really that far. Plus you may only need to see them once a year. They are a family business that has been servicing Mercedes Benz for decades. You will like them.

Don't forget - not all failures are driven by mileage. Some items just "time" out.
I have a relative who also drives MB's, but he averages only a couple of thousand miles a year. He goes through just as much in batteries, hoses, belts, even brakes (sometimes). I would especially be careful if you have air suspension. These components are affected as much by time as by mileage, too.
