Hello all! I recently purchased a 2010 E550 4Matic from a friend, he bought the vehicle wrecked and had his cousin do the repairs on it. When I got the car the muffler tips/extensions were missing, I ordered some off eBay but I think I'm missing the brackets where they mount to and I might have the wrong lower bumper trim / diffuser. Can someone with an E550 measure the width of their "opening" on the diffuer where the muffler tip/extension sits on and can someone post picture of how the muffler tip/extension is mounted to the car? I think I have an E63 rear bumper & diffuser but he doesn't remember what set up he bought... I've attached a picture of the bumper/diffuser I have and the tips I bought. When I line the tips up to the car they don't fill the gap up at all! Any help would be appreciated!
Looks like you have an early E63 diffuser, the E550 tips won't fit flush with that diffuser and you are missing the bracket that holds the tips.
This picture was for my muffler delete, but near the top you can see the stock tips attached to the stock bumper, the diffuser basically has just enough space for the tips. I no longer have the stock diffuser and tips so I can't take any new pictures...
Does anyone know of some aftermarket E63 TIPS that would work for E550 mufflers? I don't know what the best & cost effective solution would be for me in this case...

I too have a 2010 E550 which has the stock diffuser. I am replacing it with a E63 AMG diffuser as well as E63 AMG tips.
The problem is that the stock mufflers have that oval exhaust pipe, maybe a shop and round them out and weld on some tips but I'm not sure.
None of the tips are welded on. The pipes are oval because they just fit inside the "tips" and the exhaust merely blows thru them. The tips actually attach to a bracket on the bumper cover with a couple of clips and never actually touch the mufflers.
Also, looks like your mufflers/pipes might be bent as they don't seem to be in the same place on both sides...one of them, at least(passanger's side looks pretty low). It'll never line up to the tip
