2013 W212 E550 "Recall"

I received a e-mail from my dealer about 3 weeks ago, telling me my car was recalled. I checked NHTSA, and M-B USA websites, and no recalls are shown when I entered my VIN. When I contacted the dealerships service dept. they told me that a software update was required. Has anyone else out there received a similar notice? I have recently read about software updates on a few vehicles that the owners claimed affected the vehicles performance, MPG etc, and not for the better. Has anybody had this software update done, and have they noticed any changes in the cars performance?

2014 E550-sold 😩
Sounds like your dealer is out fishing to see what may bite. Recalls will come by USPO, not an email from the dealer. Maybe call up MB and let them know your dealer has issued his own recall and see what they have to say.

Take your car to a dyno for the power test and then go to dealer for the software update and tell them you did the dyno and will do it again after update to see if performance was hurt by the update. And also then tell them that you will take them up for the lowered performance if that happens.
