B Service - Dealer says no brake fluid change

I have a 2015 S212 maintained by the book. At 60,000 miles, I made a B service appointment and was surprised the dealer said it's not included in the $650 estimate. I pointed out if not, then it's not a factory B service. They decided to include the flush. They explained many opt to exclude it to keep the cost down, hence it's an add on for ~$168. They did however point out the same Service Schedule recommends an air filter, trans fluid service and spark plug change, all to which I agreed to. Again, "by the book"

I'd like to hear if other dealers are doing what feels like a bait and switch.

I'm in the northeast. A quick Google search with links to other dealers reveals it's always included.

Again, this is supposed to be "by the book" per the owner's manual and service sheets. If it's not included, then it's not a true MBUSA B Service.

My hunch is where the majority are leased, people are trying to cut/omit maintenance costs, only to sign and drive again.

at the price you paid for a B service the dealer is ripping you off if it was not included. The dealer is trying to make extra on you. I would find a new dealer

The two MB dealers near me do not include a brake fluid service with their quoted service B. It was always extra as some folks drive more often and will be due for a B service before the 2 years has passed on the brake fluid.
