E550 valve cover gaskets?
Having an issue locating valve cover gaskets on my 2010 e550 5.5l. Not sure why I cant find a clear listing, is it me will other years fit? Thanks in Advance..

Not sure there are gaskets. I think it’s all sealants

Key is correct, they use black sealant as a valve cover gasket, intermediary&oil pan, front motor cover and maybe a few other places. It will be interesting to see how much this sealant lasts compared to regular classic gaskets.

Well I'm gonna find out shortly there is a slight leak on the passenger side coming down on the exhaust. So I assume the valve cover or something in that area. Did find the MB sealant in a small tube for like 20bucks.

Check the oil separator centrifuge and its cover. It is part of the PCV system, some people call it the oil drip pan. I had a leak there too. Parts are cheap and they do fail. There's a lot of info on this forum on how to change that and there's also a video on YouTube by a guy called Ifixit autos on how to change the oil drip pan as he calls it.

Also look at the Cam plugs on each side of the engine. Back of engine at the top and facing the firewall. You can't miss them. They are cheap to replace and often weep oil.

Had a weepy cam plug replaced for a few hundred bucks.

There's a kit available to replace expansion plugs, simply pull originals out and install replacements.
