OEtuning stage 2 tune feedback

Just wondering how many others have the OE stage 2 tune on their 550's, with downpipes. What's your opinion of the power now? Anyone actually put it on the dyno and check the numbers?

Just my two cents. Have a stage 2 on my '14, E550. First time I hit it at around 35 my passenger was literally pinned to the seat back and it was over three digits before we knew it. A real sense of security for high speed passing in confined areas. Simply, it's real rush over the stock. No dyno or "Want to go fast" runs but I'm sure others will tell you, you will notice a difference and it's not your imagination like cold intakes or loud pipes.

That's the general consensus from people I speak to that have the stage 2, they talk about how much faster it is over stock and being pinned to their seat. I loaded the stage 2 on Friday after having the stage 1 for a month or so(was waiting for cats to be removed), and although the car seems a pinch faster, it's not pin you in the seat faster. Maybe it's just me, maybe I was expecting more from how people were raving about the stage 2? The stage 1 had a noticeable increase in response and a bump in power. Stage 2 feels like small bump in power in the low end and mid range, and similar at WOT to the stage 1, not that giggle inducing acceleration. The speedo seems to climb a bit faster as well. Again, maybe it's just me expecting more from the hype people were building for it. Any feedback is welcomed as the perception of speed/acceleration is based on relative experiences and I'm curious to know if it's just me.

Also just want to mention that my intentions aren't to convey anything negative towards OEtuning as the guys there have been amazing to deal with. They've answered all the questions I've asked and they do so promptly. Would be happy to deal with them again.

In my case my car had 50K miles on it. I doubt it makes a difference but after the tune the tuner suggested I replace the plugs with stock, which I did. Thinking back when I was making the appointment with the tuner he asked me where I was looking for the increase in hp and tq implying he was tuning for that specifically. My tune option was for highway driving. Not sure if that was bs or not but for me all turned out to get me in trouble if I wasn't careful. I guess if we want a daily driver like an amusement ride we need to go to 1,000 hp. I go back and forth with water/meth injection but I'm still on the fence about that. I can't find a clear reason for cooling the turbo's or misting way up stream by the filters like Weistec did in one of their offerings, which btw is no longer offered.

My car has roughly 65k km's on it. As for the tune, they just asked for a mod list and to send in the scan of the car from the loader to verify before sending the tune via email, which was almost instant, so they have the basic tunes on file ready to send. Honestly I'm just gonna make an appointment to get the car on the dyno and see what the car is actually putting down vs. what they're claiming...

Also, you shouldn't need 1000hp to pin you in your seat. Even at 4400lbs 530-540hp and 700ish tq should be plenty to put a smile on your face lol

I love the description. Way too much is just enough. My little BMW 135i with tuners and intercoolers is like that. I fly a Lear 60, and at light weights at sea level, it pulls so hard that you feel like you could swallow your tongue. The blood drains out of your face. It is the way God intended.
