Define what's "better for you"
Is AMG cheaper than flooded? NOPE
Does it last 10-17 years like flooded? NOPE.
Is it smaller than flooded with the same capacity? NOPE
Does it give better starting amp? Questionable.
AMG batteries were design for Army use for advantages who don't apply to car application.
It is just customer brainwashing who makes the sales.

There's a reason MB switched to them (and if your car came with AGM it is a bad idea to replace it with flooded). They are lighter, but the main advantages come from the lower internal resistance. As I've said, they can be discharged more and will fully charge faster. The higher operating voltage gives you more headroom to run them down. They crank better in cold conditions. But, yes, they're more expensive.

At the least get a sealed battery , so gassing off can be re-captured. Less corrosive ( and flammable) gas discharge this way.
I would not place a classic vented lead acid at the trunk for AUX battery.

Mercedes does that for over 20 years in lot of models. All it takes is run 6 mm vent tube outside.

Not all classic vented lead acid has a drain tube feature.
I mean "classic" as the photo below :

That is why smarter car owners come to the forum and ask question before spending money.
