E350 Estate Front suspension creak
Hi Chaps
Had our 212 E350 estate for about 5 years and love it. Of late it's started to suffer with an annoying front suspension creak.
It only occurs when the steering is at full lock and the front wheels are across different ground levels. Of late it has also started to happen under braking
Passed MOT with no problems are cannot see anything untoward on a ramp. I recently replaced front anti roll bar drop links as a precautionary measure
Anyone had the same fault?

Have a read through this. It's cheap and fast to try, so it's well worth it.

I have a ton of noise issues with my suspension so I tried the grease solution with no success personally. Mine happens almost exclusively from speed bumps and curbs though. But the nice thing is that it was cheap enough that I don't care.

Replacing the swap bar made a difference for me as well. The rubber mounts are molded to the bar but over time will separate, causing squeaking when the bar pivots in the mounts. It's not too hard to check. Just jack up the front of the car and detach the sway bar links. Then, grab the sway bar and try moving it by hand. If the bushings are still molded to the bar you won't be able to move it much. If they've detached, it'll be fairly easy and you'll likely hear a squeak. Other than lifting it and holding it in place, it's not hard to replace yourself, either. Once the links are disconnected, remove the skid plate and remove the 4 bolts.
