First to second gear

I have a 2013 W212 220 and noticed recently that if I put my foot down from a standing start the gear change between 1st and 2nd seems to take longer which makes the car slow down/jolt, Rev high then change gear and carry on, it does this in E and Sport mode. Works perfectly smooth and fine under normal driving and accerlating from moving but sometimes the boy racers edging forward at the lights need to be thought as lesson :P

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance

I noticed my car has trouble figuring out a good high rev shift point if it's cold. Does this happen when you first jump in? Or after you've been driving a bit?

When's the last time you had the spark plugs, etc., changed? MAF sensor cleaner? Reset the adaptive transmission? We had the same issues in our E350 wagon, and I changed plugs, cleaned sensor, reset transmission. Is totally normal now, although the shift points are less aggressive than in sport mode.

Not sure on spark plugs, only had the car a couple of months. Aren't spark plugs only used to start the engine? I'd seen about the adaptive transmission gear change points, how do you reset it? Cheers!

For some reason, I didn't see this. Here's the process for resetting transmission. http://www.mercedesmedic.com/reset-m...-instructions/
