Climate Control Issue
I have a 2014 E350 Sedan, and a few days ago my AC vents switched to my windshield defrost on their own. No matter which button i press, it blows hot air from the defroster. When i turn the climate panel off, i can hear the valve/vacuum turning the vents back down off of defrost. So when i turn the climate control back on, cold air comes out of the front vents, but then it rolls up to the defrost vents and gets hot again.
Anyone ever had this issue, know how to fix it? I have already taken the climate control panel off and looked at the control board. There was some sticky stuff that looked like old soda or something, but i cleaned it off and the only change was that it now waits about 3-5 seconds before going to defrost instead of 1 second before.

Good to hear you've got it fixed without spending $$$$ at dealer.
Defrost is default mode for future referrals, what indicates something wrong with flap system.

Thanks For the update.
Actually I had a similar issue after some of tea liquid reached the climate control and got disturbed and now the only issue that I can't reduce any of buttons (temperature, air flow, air mode)
I hope after cleaning it works fine again.
