Odd fluid from a drip tube - help me figure this out!
This is on a 2016 E250 Bluetec. The drip tube is located next to the transmission on the driver's side. In the picture, the large square tube is the steering column. The fluid is yellow-ish; kinda like urine. It's oily. Only just started showing up on the garage floor. Drips when motor running; quits when stopped. I don't think it's heater/ac condensate, it's too oily. Could this be tranny fluid? Haven't added any ever. Collected this much with ~30 minutes idling.

The only open drip MB cars have is from AC system and that drips on top of transmission.
Than "somebody was there before". You hose clamps are not MB clamps, so who knows what PO did. You need to track other end of the hose.
Might be fuel.

Well, our consensus now is that it is fuel. And the hose connects out of the back of the engine in about the middle just above the bellhousing - where there's about 1" clearance between firewall and engine. Can't tell yet where it goes exactly but I'm still trying.

Beside DPF I did not have to work on OM651 much yet (knock on the wood) but fuel on top of the engine is most likely leak line and the 2nd Tee looks wet.
Keep the pictures coming.

Im guessing the injector return line O ring is shot and leaks fuel while running. I just did that on a e320 Cdi, fuel was sitting around the injector. Either that or a cracked fitting(T)/fuel return hose is leaking.

I did them on OM642 engine and they just snap-off. Still take a closer picture to make sure you don't have a lock on them. MB is not selling small parts, so if you break 1, you have to buy whole line, or seek aftermarket.
On the other hand, if that in fact is leak line leaking, you need to buy it new regardless.
Wrap them with paper towels to pinpoint the leak.

om648 and om642 have a metal clip that is pulled out and T comes off of the injector. Looking at your pictures, you would need to depress some tab to unlock it. I never worked on the newer MB diesels.
Cheapest place I found was FCP Euro, https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...gaAhdyEALw_wcB

SOLVED!
The suggestion to wrap the tee with a paper towel is brilliant. It was the second tee. A trip to my local NAPA store for a new O-ring and now everything is dry.
These tee's are unlocked by rotating the tabs - actually it's printed on top of the tee, see pic.
