It's pretty close, just doesn't cover cosmetic things which is what the faded wood is.
Pre-safe inoperative would probably be covered.
No idea about your keyless go control code, you'd have to say where you read that. Don't know that it has anything to do with the dealer. You only need to remove the button if the battery in your key fob is dead and you can't start the car. Once you put it in the ignition, it will start the car because it doesn't need a battery.

The keyless go button is just a piece of plastic. It is not specific to your car, has no electronics and can be bought all day on Ebay if you lose it. As Cetialpha5 has indicated you can enter the car with the blade key and start your car with a completely dead fob by inserting it into the key slot once removing the push button with your fingers. The car will never leave you stranded.
Ask you dealer for a copy of the CPO certificate with the coverage. The file is too large for me to post up here for you.

Now for some questions...
Twice today while driving, once in the morning and once again this evening, with no one in front or behind me I heard a 'beep beep' - as in two quick beeps. The second time I thought I caught a red triangle flash between the fuel and temperature gauges. I'm wondering if this was the collision prevention assist going off and if there isn't something wrong with it? Is there a log of this I can access? As I said - driving down a straight level road with no one around me, front or rear
This car seems to run with the temperature gauge right at 90 degrees Celsius, which puts the needle above horizontal. Is this the normal operating temperature?
I've already read there is no way to set the car so that ECO (start/stop of engine at a stop sign or stop light) will stay off. Anybody using the Mid City Engineering device to keep it off?
I also noticed that if I put the car in sport mode it will revert to economy mode when I start it back up again?
The tray cover over the cup holders and lighter/ash tray... Is this supposed to close all the way by itself? Mine sticks half way over the cup holders - I have to finish closing it by hand.

Random beep-beep - Collision Prevention Assist Plus false positives. Happens to me, too, but not consistently. Maybe twice a month.
Temp gauge - this is normal operating temp. Mercedes decides to give it to you straight instead of making it just default to the middle. Was your W203 not like this? Mine was.
You can software program this to start in S mode, but yours works as designed. Note that S mode locks out 7th gear.
The ashtray/cupholder cover. If you push it all the way open, then push it once it should stop leaving the cup holders exposed but ashtray covered. Pressing it again it should close completely without help from you. It slows down a bit and closes gently. If you have to help it at all, it's broken. This will be covered under factory warranty so go get this fixed.
You wisely avoided a car with fading wood trim. You have the dark ash wood, this should not fade.
The E350W is normal. My C230 was always "C230WZ" for some reason.
Your PRE-SAFE message is probably voltage related like was suggested earlier. Does your car do the eco start/stop a lot? I noticed mine stopped working and the engine never shutoff. That was the first sign for me that the battery was weak. They should replace it under warranty. I would find someone else to talk to since your guy thought it had something to do with sensitivity settings. Yikes.

As for the Stop/Start feature, I've placed a small sticker on the seatbelt assembly to the left of my driver's seat. It reminds me to turn ECO Stop/Start off when I fasten my belt.
REPLY
As for Stop/Start, that is on my list of features to avoid if at all possible. Every time I get a loaner from the dealer the S/S bugs the heck out of me.
[QUOTE=mtnman82;7977870] I have 15 months of warranty but was hoping to only use it once or twice for little things like the emergency brake not popping up all the way...
REPLY
You paid for the warranty when you purchased the car, use it. The dealer won't care, because he makes money off it. This forum is a great place to learn about things that you should have the dealer check out as long as under warranty.

If the ash tray cover piece is really messed up, there are plenty of used ones on Ebay. Color does not matter since you can easily take off the fake wood parts and swap them over.
I was going to say someone who has a dealer type Star computer and is proficient with it could probably lock out the stop engine feature. Look for a good indy shop or just a guy on local classified ads promoting MB computer diagnostics. It seems there is a service from the Carplay guy for it. I would find it endlessly annoying. I don't set Sport mode most of the time because I do mostly city traffic driving and I just want the comfort mode.

All 2014-2016 E350 and E250BT models start out in 1st gear regardless of whether you’re in E or S. Apparently the more powerful cars like the E400 and E550 start in 2nd in E mode.

My 2012 E550 always starts in 1st, in both Sport and Eco mode. Also, you CAN shift into 7th when in Sport mode, you just need to hit the upshift paddle...I do it all the time, Sport mode, in 7th, below 50mph. On the highway it will shift into 7th on its own.

My 2016 W212 starts in 1st in both E and S modes. My W203 (5-speed tranny) started in 2nd in C mode and 1st in S mode.
Sat at the dealer all day today. 2+ hour drive to get there. When I started the 'PRE-SAFE Inoperative' went off ~6 times in the first 5 minutes of driving. They couldn't duplicate the issue. They did update the software for the Collision Assist. No PRE-SAFE or false Collision Assist on the way home. Keeping my fingers crossed. They also fixed or ordered parts to fixed a number of small things. They also updated my COMAND software to resolve various Bluetooth issues.

Yep DFWDude my friend, I was agreeing with you on the W203 staring out in 2nd while in 'W' mode. I misspoke when I said 'C' mode, which was just a vernacular change for the later W203's, same functionality. Also agreeing with you that my W212 always starts in 1st gear regardless of mode.
Digging the W212 so far. After having put quite a few miles on the road now I could see wanting a bit more on the power side but overall it's really not lacking. The few times I was looking for a bit more were excursions 90% of drivers probably wouldn't be taking. If it weren't for the PRE-SAFE and collision assist issues I'd be totally enamored. The service guy was really good, very helpful and accommodating. Really really hoping we can get the few kinks worked out and then log many many years of reliable service.

I wonder what is really going on with the PRE-SAFE thing? I would have guessed weak battery. Mine has had no issues aside from a couple of false warnings, but all collision warning systems do that.
