Trunk tool bag?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to utilize the space in the trunk in front of the auxiliary battery? I was thinking of putting a tool bag here and was wondering if anyone had done the same. Thanks again!

Well, BEHIND the Aux. battery (between battery and rear bumper) I keep a handful of basic tools in a small bag, and an air compressor on a small bit of carpeting. I wrap a set of jumper cables around the spare. Doesn't everyone?

Don't really carry any basic tools. That's what AAA is for. So no jumper cables. I do carry a Ryobi tire inflator. It's about $20 from Home Depot and I have a bunch of other Ryobi tools so I already had the battery.

Years ago I used to carry one of those compact 2 ton hydraulic jacks along with a 4 way lug wrench or a 18' breaker bar with the right socket for the tires, but it only came in handy once in about 20+ years so after about 5 years, I stopped carrying it. Just excess weight leading to worse gas mileage. I remember reading somewhere that 18" breaker bar with the extension would make for a nice weapon if you're in a rough neighborhood and if you ever got stopped and searched, it's a legitimate tool to have. But then again, I never ended up in a rough neighborhood so no need to carry it.

Oh and at one point I did have a center punch that I kept in the glove compartment just in case you ever go in the water when going over a bridge and need to smash out the windows. It's just that after a while, I forgot it was even there until I was cleaning out the car when I was selling it. They have cheap ones on Amazon that's both a center punch and a razor to cut the seat belt in case it gets jammed.
