I have found that different VIN sources can yield different codes. By that I mean sometimes including or excluding some codes.
I would use the "official" MB site... www.dataMB.com
Or I THINK it's the official site. I would never trust a window sticker to be accurate.

The VIN decode for my vehicle does not list "321" either. But as long as the several other codes (951, 954, 677, 772, 4U4) are listed, you have a "Sport" model.
Finally, I have read here several times, that ALL 2016 models sold in the US were built as Sport Sedans. This is very common for any manufacturer wanting to use up a parts inventory during the final year of a model's production.
However, MBWorld member Streamliner has a 2016 Luxury sedan in California (below). This is the only one I've ever seen.

Comparing the highest build quality car in the world, a Toyota, to a Mercedes as if it is worse, is a little funny. The MB feels heavier, more solid, smoother, like you are driving a bank vault. ButToyota is hardly a dirty word.

Streamliner has a really rare car - and it's gorgeous.
It's possible I'm just 8 years removed from my W203, but since OP and I have the same suspension - I don't notice too much float? It seems comfortable.

Just curious about something. I recently got a CPO 2016 E400 (w212) and have had a 2010 C300 and a 2010 E350 in the past. I took my E400 in for some warranty work and they gave me a 2019 C300 as a loaner (it may be a 2020, it only has 1900 miles). I don't want to upset anyone but this C300 feels like I'm driving a Toyota or something along those lines. I don't remember my 2010 C300 feeling "cheap" like this one does, nor do I remember there being that huge of a difference between my 2010 E and C in how the cars the feel. Is there really that much difference between the E class and C class now? I would think that a new C class would stand up to an older E class fairly well but IMO this one really doesn't.
I had a similar reaction to between the W204 the W205 and W212 prefacelift. I dorve them all in the same day. The W204 was classic Mercedes solid. The W203 didn't have the Mercedes solid feel but did ride better than the W204. The W212 felt like I was getting into a gentlemens club of old. It was solid but was quieter and road better than the W204. Needless to say I ended up buying a pre-facelift W212.

LILBENZ - young female driver who I'm guessing was on her cell phone took my c230 out.
DFWdude - yep, I'm using the Vin decoder website. Sales guy had a copy of the window sticker when I test drove the car, but wouldn't give it to me after I bought the car. Frustrated about that - I have no idea why they wouldn't give it to me. Had a good 5 minute discussion and he insisted it was something for the dealer and not given out.

Exactly, to this day I don't understand the logic or explanation for not letting me have the window sticker. The other frustrating part of the purchase experience was being required to fill out a loan application. I came in with a pre-approved loan/check. They insisted I fill out the loan paperwork, including reference names/phone #'s. I refused at first, but this went on for better than a half hour. I finally did fill the paperwork out but insisted on entering $0. for the requested loan amount - they insisted I leave it blank. I put $0 in anyway.

As mentioned before, the codes in the left hand column that "Package" individual items together are "Options" Codes for ordering purposes. The datacard does not bundle items together, so my datacard does not show PO1, 319, 321, 389, either. Instead, you will see the items within the package listed individually, as they are in the middle column.
One-line, one-off items at the bottom can be listed as left-column "options," such as LILBENZ230's HO9 (Open-Pore, Brown Ashwood Trim). It's also common to see RO2 (All-Season Tyres) 218 (Rear View Camera) and 810 (Premium Sound System) listed individually. But my car does not list factory installed item 55U (Beige Roof Liner), although it definitely has it. Dealer installed (throw in) items, such as wheel locking bolts (O68) and Comfort Box (137) may or may not be listed in the datacard, as it's possible they were not installed at the factory.

Then we do have the same suspension. I find mine to be pretty ideal suspension wise, but the driving experience is not perfect. I think the steering is a bit too light and a bit too slow.
