Airscarf issues E350/A207

Hi all, I seem to have an issue with the airscarf. it was working fine both sides then I noticed that the light had gone off. it now goes off after 5/10 seconds.

I have found and replaced the fuse in the drivers side dash panel it HAD blown.

Now passenger side works fine no issues. Drivers side as soon as I press the switch it blows the same fuse again.

I have visually checked plugs and cables under the seats everything looks fine as far as I can tell.

I have swapped and tested both motors using the wiring from the passenger side and both work fine with no issues.

guessing it could be the airscarf controller ? is there 1 per seat ? where are they located ?

Any Help with this would be greatly appreciated very frustrating,

Many Thanks Dan

You have covered some but these would be things to check:

- CU
- Heating & fan in seat
- Floor wiring distributor (LHD - left, RHD - right)
- Under seat wiring

Wow I cannot thank you enough for this comprehensive information. I can see the airscarf controller you have shown its location I can see the white and Blue plugs I pressure they are for the left and right seats ? would swapping them over rule out or confirm if the controller is at fault ?

Many Thanks Dan

ok so I have managed to resolve my issue. it was after all the connection under the drivers seat its just 2 wires. the core of the wires had become exposed and shorting out. I removed the plug cut the wires and use heat shrink around the wires and soldered back together issue resolved.

I would like to thank everyone for helping and offering advice on this.
