It is actually doing pretty good job at that.
Our route to freeway involves several red light stops, where often we sit for 2 minutes in 110F weather. The ECO will shut the engine off and the vents, when on lower blower speed are still blowing cold.
I was stunned by it at first, but then concluded that evaporator has some residual cold in it and at low air flow it will last for some time.
Obviously when I do 2 stops in short time, the effect will vanish and I had the engine restarted with my foot on brake pedal. Scared me 1st time it happened.
