My son once put a fist through a wall in my home, which I dutifully patched up. When it came time to sell the home, my wife said the patch will put off buyers. I told her, "You know the patch is there, but buyers will not." House sold just the way it was presented, wall patch and all. I wager to this day the buyers still hasn't found the patch. This is what I mean by modding a car hoping people will notice. Unless you turn your W212 sedan into a 2-door convertible, they won't.

I’m not old. 34. My car has legal tints, a spoiler that I added (OEM style), and is about to have CarPlay unlocked as well as tank contents in gallons. Aside from that I’m considering an illuminated star (had one on my loaner GLC and it was nicer than I thought).
Thats it for me.

I think you are mistaking modding for butchering.
Being fake gets applause only from certain people. Don't bet everybody will like it.
Coming to actuall modding, the only think I do to my MB are wheels changes (I add rear wing to cover ding on the trunk).
Choice of wheels comes to personal taste again, but having classic monoblocks on my MB turn more than 1 head and more than 2.
Bottom line, keep your MB clean and keep it classic and you will get applause.

Please stop with the nonsense and let the man do whatever he pleases. OP, if you want to slam your ****in car on it's nuts and let it drag on the asphalt please don't let these guys bring you down. It's your car, do what YOU want. No one will look twice your way if you have aftermarket wheels or a trunk spoiler. It's how you feel about your car.
Now enjoy my fake laughable E350 that's apparently trash and unclassy according to most people on here.

Are those quad tips connected, or just hanging there?
I guess you are missing the point?

I think everybody should make their car their own as they wish.
I like to first stand back and figure out what I want to do so everything looks balanced. Or if it's even feasible. Entirely subjective of course.
I wanted the overall styling to have some contrast, but more muted. I like stuff that you have to look at twice to catch details.
My car is the darker metallic gray so I used that as a general color palate.

- 3M Brushed titanium wrap applied to all trim and grille
- 35% window tint
- Wheels powdered/cleared in black chrome/gray
- Tail-lights in light Vvivid tint (very light)
- Side markers in medium Vvivid tint
- Headlight eybrows in dark Vvivid tint

Come on guys...
Of course moddddd ur own car to ur own taste is a must. Who cares about how others looking at ur car...
Just do what you want with your own limit.
Just don't go over too crazy,
when the time comes to sell or trade, those parts won't pay you back.

IMO, White is the best color for tinting. I had a Ford Probe GT 25 years ago that was white with 30% tint on all but the windshield. The severe contrast with the white body color, and the OEM black C-Pillar, made the roof look like it was floating in air. (Not my exact car)
My E350 is a Florida car, already tinted 28% (front windows) and 18% in back... Same interior Beige as yours, LILBENZ230...

I completely understand the desire to modify your car, I did it for decades, I'm still drawn to the Modified cars and admire the artistic way and unique personalization it imbibes. that said I am old now and am happy to admire the fine lines and factory look of unmodified cars.
With the awareness that modifications destroy resale value, it still is up to the individual to make that decision, we all have different priorities. The value of these cars is not going up, so I say modify away if you so desire!

What??? I'm sorry but this is probably one of the funniest posts I've seen on MBWorld so far. "Being fake gets applause only from certain people". How is adding/changing parts out being fake? I'm guessing my E350 is "fake" because I have the AMG Quad tips, S Class wheels, being lowered an inch, and having tints is fake? I apologize to everyone in advance for being a poser and having a look alike E63.

I thank you guys for your reply. It’s true, I don’t have the money to buy an E63 neather to maintain it. I don’t want to change at all the engine specs, just the exterior looking. I would not badge it cuz I really want to keep it clean black. I was wondering how much it cost, but I saw that you sad around 3-4 k then it’s not that much knowing that i would never recover that amount of money. And I have to mention to that I grew up in the Need for Speed era and I am to addicted to tunning. Haha.
Anyway I thank you again and if you have any link to trusted websites where I can buy those parts I would appreciate it.
Have a nice day/night. And sorry for my bad English.

Yes! I would have to agree, that seems awfully light for 35%, Up here in Ohio you can go to the State trooper posts and if their not busy they will run the test for you. Incidentally we have no Benzs in that color around here, last I saw that color was in Jersey, Really awesome.

And I believe "Mud has a black interior and DFW has the same as you and my Blue 12. But DFW mentioned his car was from Florida and {my suggestion} possibly tinted there not Texas, I don't know the law in either of those states but my state is the same as yours at 32%. Of course here we don't need to tint for the 50 days a year it's actually sunny!!!!!!! {exaggeration}

I was given the choice of 25 or 35. Legal is 32 here. After one of my cars in recent years landed me two tickets in two days in two different cities for having 20% tint, I decided it wasn't worth repeating. But I have always thought this was too light.

I can only imagine the reactions I would get if I posted my other modded cars. 😂 Mod or don't mod, change out OEM this for that, so long as it's your money who honestly cares. If you don't have an AMG, who cares. However I will let you know if I ever see a non AMG sporting the badge, I will blow your doors off. That's about the only cardinal sin in the world of modifying cars.
