Air filter engine cover threads stripped

The last tech that put the air filter in, over tightened the screw and striped all the threads off on the engine cover where the box attaches to, so the screw doesn't catch anymore. I'm trying to replace the air filter now myself with AEMs and the torx screw won't tighten. Anyone have any ideas what to do? I thought about a fatter torx screw but it's pretty specific as it is. Or, maybe some JB weld in the hole since the screw should catch it...
Thanks

Fill the stripped holes with epoxy. After it sets up, drill them back out. Use an epoxy that is intended to bond to plastic. You don't want something as hard as regular JB Weld. It may be too hard to turn the threads of the screws into. Instead, you want something pliable enough that the screws can cut threads into it.
JB Weld makes a plastic to plastic adhesive. Perhaps it would work.

If it is all plastic just get sheet metal screws that are just slightly bigger than the hole where the threads go. And it does not have to be Torx head screws either. Phillips head works just fine.
