2011 E350 Media Interface Cable iPhone lightning
My '11 E350 came with a 30 pin apple & aux jack cable. I was wondering if either of these Mercedes iPhone lightning adapters would work: Media Interface consumer cable, Lightning, for iPhone® holder or Media Interface consumer cable, Lightning
My reservation is that it lists NTG 4.5 and I believe I have NTG 4.0 (need to verify), yet it lists suitable vehicles including: S212 (11/09 - 03/13).

Stopped by the dealer for a few parts and asked about the lightning cable. They confirmed my suspicion it wouldn't with a NTG 4.0 vehicle, but a software update might exist allowing it. Hopefully will have a STAR diagnostic machine soon.
I tried using the 30-pin cable, along with an Apple lightning adapter on my iPhone 6S without success. The only thing it did was charge the phone.
