Question - ambient light above glove box is very bright on the left, and dim on the right. What causes this and can it be fixed without replacing the entire instrument cluster trim?
There’s an LED at each end you can change complete harness ( I believe list is about $50) or if ambitious find compatible LEDs. Need to pull trim.
Thank you so much for this information. I may have caused one of the LEDs to break or move off of the light bar when I was replacing the old NTG 4.7 Headunit with an aftermarket Android HU. I'll take the trim off and take a look, and if needed buy a replacement harness. Will update this forum post when done.
I actually like the amber color and use it exclusively. The door handles and area around the COMAND knob stay that color no matter what, so at least it is uniform.
