Among the aftermarket flat badges, there are the black AMG badge that nota_amg shows above, or the regular blue background chrome star flat badge that JBSPEED offers (see link I offered above, post #14). JBSPEED sells both.

I do not believe Mercedes makes a 45mm badge...not that I've been able to find.
Konigstiger: I don't doubt they do, but I ordered that one, and it's too big. I mean, it will physically fit in the hole and clip in, but the crease in the hood holds the edges off the surface of the hood. This is the pic from when I installed the badge on my hood:
You can clearly see how it sits up on the edges and doesn't sit down flat, like it does on the flat hoods.
I have an aftermarket AMG "poser" badge, just because I couldn't find anything else I liked to replace the star with. I didn't think the car needed 2 star badges on the front after I changer out my grill for the "sport" 3-bar grill.

As an esoteric aside...
Before Mercedes began attaching the mount to it's 57mm flat badge, they offered it as a visible Emblem only (without mount below). This was an SL/SLK part (A 638 817 0116). This was circa 2001-2006, maybe later. At that time, the SLK320 had a flat hood -- without the stamped divot underneath -- and the emblem had two plastic pins at 12 and 6 o'clock, which fit through two simple holes in the hood. There were delrin attachment fasteners that captured the pins underneath. Plus, it included a mount to fit cars with the divot.
I had one of these on my C320 (with the divot hood) for a couple years, before I decided to start
my White Star Flat Badge business (RIP).
I don't know if this emblem is still available. But if one is dead set on having the larger style, this plastic emblem (prior to attaching the mount) can be carefully bent along the centerline to make it fit without gaps at the sides. Takes some courage to do it, but it can be made to fit. Bend it gently over the straight edge of a sturdy table. Test fit and rebend as needed till it's correct.

Yea, I'm having a helluva time finding the emblem. It looks like I might just have to settle for a chinese one and wait a couple weeks. Not sure I wanna get the plastic one and try to bend it, to make it fit.

I found this as a note for the 57mm flat-badge:
"Vehicle Note: For cars with (Code 954 or 4U4). Not for cars with (Code 800 801 802 or 803)."
So it definitely will not fit the 2010(Code 800) 2011(801), 2012(802) or 2013(803) cars.
Honestly, I think that you would be very hard-pressed to get it to get hot enough to have it soften up and lay down on the hood without destroying it or burning your paint. I'm definitely not trying that...

Yes, that one will fit, it is the exact same chrome base I have, just with a different insert(plastic instead of 'alu-minium'.)

Thanks for the interest, guys. But I have ZERO parts remaining. During the 7 years I made White Star and AMG badges (2006-2013), I watched suppliers overseas go out of business, get wiped out by hurricanes, and burn to the ground, LOL. Fighting the language barriers to establish a new supplier, send prototypes and review sample proofs, etc, takes months... that I no longer care to pursue.
Not to mention that during those 7 years, the cost of the factory upright star increased 80%, which made my retail price increase enough to embarrass even me.
Plus Mercedes-Benz has moved away from the traditional upright star, going with default flat badges in many cases. Which means fewer and fewer cars have hoods that can wear my work. i.e., less market demand.
It was a fun side hustle while it lasted, but I'm now 15 years older, and retired. You can sometimes find my work on the MBWorld Classifieds. Sorry.

Things have changed with overseas suppliers, the language barrier is a lot less of an issue. Recently took a trip to Shenzhen, and I could negotiate with just an Android phone. But like always you want buy in bulk.

I just had this same headache with these different sized hood emblems and everything. I purchased that exact flat hood emblem from the link you posted on TTLET. Yes is from China but it fits correctly and couldn't be happier. The swap took 30 seconds. Hopefully that AMG one will be the same way. Better than buying the over sized one and chipping your paint.
Ahhh, I see. I saw the AMG badge you have as well. I'll probably end up ordering that badge as well.[/QUOTE

Got the badge and finally got it put on, glad I went with the one I found, didnt think it was gunna look too good but it looks great and now I just need the new grille. Only thing I did not like about this badge is the actual AMG emblem part is a thin metal sheet with adhesive tape on the back. I hope itll hope up in the MN weather, if not I will probably have to get some body moulding adhesive to glue it on the metal base.

Got my new/used grille on today as well! This grille will probably just be a place holder till I get the money for a 55tech grille though as it doesnt have the best fit on the bottom of the grille. I'll have to use some foam adhesive weather stripping just to cover the bigger gap between the fascia and bottom of the grille for the time being.

okay, I'm always looking for 45mm badges since they are so hard to find, and I found what looks to be a very nice one in Australia. It is the star/laurel badge and it appears to be the textured type(no clear gel or "metal sticker" here!). It also attaches with the factory styl clip, so no need for the stupid extended metal wingnut set-up. They are currently out of stock, but I have put in an email with them inquiring when they might be available and to see if they would be willing to ship to USA. Hopefully I'll hear something soon. I'll keep you informed.

Oh, trust me...these are new and nowhere NEAR the quality of yours. More like the stock "metal-over-plastic" style from what I can tell. 1000x better than the gel-topped style. I tell you what though, if I could find a used one of yours I would probably buy it on the spot!
