2012 E350 Bluetec EGR issue

Hello guys, I have 2012 E350 Bluetec and I keep getting P2413 code - malfunction in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system. I did change EGR valve and nothing changed. After 60 miles I have check engine light again. When I scan it it show that malfunction is stored not current . I tested the EGR valve and it does open and close. It shows when open 95% and closed 5% if that is important and it makes a difference. Any ideas what is triggering that check engine light I would appreciate? Thanks a lot

check your vacuum lines. (to and from the EGR) and also to and from the MAP.

I had a ripped vacuum hose on my MAP (Manifold absolute Pressure) sensor for my w210 e55.

I see but mine doesn't have any vacuum hoses on it. My EGR valve has electric connector with 3 wires on it and a coolant hose that's all. Thanks for your help though, I appreciate.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem on my 2011 Bluetec, i replaced the EGR but it didn't fix the problem, still see the check engine light. Were you able to find out what was causing the issue on your car?

Thank you for your help!

HI, I took it to like 3 mechanics, some of them were like close people to me and all of them were suggesting to open the intake and clean everything. They were saying something got clogged, but this is such expensive procedure and I gave up. To open the intake and clean it is almost to change oil cooler seals procedure which i did a few years ago and cost me more then 3k $. I could get check engine light to dissappear when I put in my tank BG 245 but after tank was gone check engine light was back again. Thats how I passed emission inspection at least. Finally I got rid of it, I had enough. Very disappointed with that diesel Mercedes.
