PSA - Check your brake lines and rear subframe

2012 S350 Bluetec, 2014 GLK250 Bluetec, 2000 CLK320 Cabrio
PSA - Check your brake lines and rear subframe
A friend of mine has a 2011 W212 and just had to replace brake lines and rear subframe (VERY expensive). If you live in a salty climate, I recommend you get this checked out. Definite safety issue on both counts.

Wow, good to know.

p.s. my '93 300SE was my favorite Benz, and I've had 12 others!

What is it about the rear subframe that makes it more vulnerable than the rest of the car?

I think this was resolved well before 2016. The earlier 2008-2011ish W204s suffered from this as well.
